Make Me Your Lover

I do not personally connect with hierarchical polyamorous language. Using the word ‘secondary’ doesn’t feel right to me. It feels comparative to other relationships, that a secondary is somewhat.. less than. 

As someone who is slowly shifting my gaze from Open Relationships and more towards Polyamory, I have been thinking about this a lot.

Each connection that we have with anyone, whether they be friend, lover or a family member is unique. I refer to my close friends as that- close. I threw out the concept of the ‘best friend’ many years ago.
